What does it mean to be a Christian? That question used to be so simple when I was a kid. At least I thought it was. Today, in some circles, it means to "be kind" or "do better". In other places, it simply means love everyone, except for your enemy or anyone who disagrees with you. So what is it? How should a teenager navigate this question and feel confident with the answers? Christianity 101 will seek to discover those answers and more! We'll also have free candy, so if you like candy and are willing to sit through a class in order to just get said candy, then come, join us!

We spend most of our days pursuing peace, pleasure, and fun. In and of themselves, those aren't always bad things. God gives us pleasures and joys throughout our day-to-day lives, but he also gives us suffering. No one in their right mind would ask God to give them more pain and affliction, but it is often the primary avenue God uses to make us more like his Son, Jesus. In this class, we will consider why we suffer and how we can strive to live faithfully in the midst of a broken and hurting world.
