YLT COHORTS

Welcome to Youth Leader Training Cohorts, a program designed to serve the Church by developing capable and resilient leaders who will strengthen ministries that reach and equip youth for Christ.

The YLT Cohorts program goes beyond imparting practical ministry skills; we focus on nurturing essential "soft skills" necessary for leading healthy and sustainable ministries. As a participant, you will:

• Deepen Your Understanding: Immerse yourself in a biblically and theologically rich philosophy of ministry that will guide and shape your approach to youth ministry leadership.
• Grow Spiritually: Strengthen your walk with Jesus through real-time encouragement and accountability within a supportive cohort of fellow leaders.

Our cohorts are tailored for:

• Newcomers to Youth Ministry: Whether you're new to youth ministry or serving in a new role altogether, our program is designed to meet you where you are.
• Developing Leaders: Individuals seeking to develop as youth ministry leaders and enhance their church's ministry to youth, regardless of their level of experience.
• Churches Investing in Youth Leaders: For churches aiming to offer comprehensive training and mentoring to their youth ministry staff, interns, or part-time workers.

A nine-month study program with three focus areas: Bible and Theology, Ministry Practice, and Personal Growth in Grace.

Each cohort is led by a mentor with significant experience in youth ministry.

Cohort participants attend RYM's annual Youth Leader Training event, with the registration fee included in the Cohort package.

Bi-weekly Zoom meetings for discussion of study program material, topical ministry discussions, sharing life and ministry experiences, struggles, and prayer.

Monthly 1:1 meetings with the Cohort Mentor for ministry consultation, pastoral care, and prayer.

Bi-monthly meetings between the Cohort Mentor and local church oversight during the program.

Participants have ongoing access to their Cohort Mentor and priority access to RYM's Director of Training.
