Icebreaker: Tell us about someone’s face that matters to you. Examples could be: your grandmother who passed away but whose face you still can picture, your 5-year-old cousin, your dog who has sad eyes, etc.?

Reflect: What from the sermon stood out to you? What was challenging, comforting, or confusing?
Sermon Questions:
1. We often use the wrong strategy to grow more like Jesus. What kind of strategies do you use? For instance, do you tend to try to muscle your way into being like Him? Or maybe you think that if you feel guilty or ashamed enough that you will grow? Or maybe if you could just fix what is wrong with you then you could start looking more like Him?
2. The promise in 2 Cor. 3:17-18 is that as we behold Jesus we are being transformed into His image! How does this challenge your current strategy?
3. As we look at Jesus, we begin to look like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:17). So, let’s look at Him: What are some things about Jesus that are beautiful to you? Share some stories from the Bible or times where Jesus comforted you, showed you his love, etc.
4. Although we aren’t controlled by sin anymore, we still struggle with sin. Where are some places that you want the Spirit to bring you freedom from sin and to transform you more into Jesus’s likeness?
5. In our busy lives, it’s hard to take time to look at Jesus. What are some ways that we can help each other look at Jesus as a group when we get home?
Close in prayer for God to help us look at Jesus and that we would look more like Jesus when we return from RYM than when we got here.
