Monday Qs

Title: Who Made You?

Passage: Genesis 1:26-27, 31

Icebreaker: Share your name and something that you like to make. It can be anything: LEGOs, nachos, your bed, music, a playlist, etc.!

Share: What is one thing you are hoping to find at RYM this week?

Reflect: What from the sermon stood out to you? What was challenging, comforting, or confusing?

Review: As a group, come up with a simple definition of “sanctification” that we can use throughout the week.

Sermon Questions:
1. We were made by a loving God. However, it’s not always easy to remember this. When you think of God, what is the first word that comes to mind to describe Him?

2. What would change about your relationship with God if you experienced him as a loving Father?

3. Humans are made in God’s image, out of an overflow of God’s love (Gen 1:26-26). Does that line up with how you see yourself? Why or why not?

4. What would change if you viewed yourself as God’s masterpiece– made in His image?

5. Even though we are God’s masterpiece, we know and feel the way that Sin has damaged every good thing God has made, including ourselves. What about yourself feels damaged, beat up, or bruised as you come into this week? This might be a hard relationship, a sin struggle, or a sadness in your life.

6. Close in prayer for God to show us his love this week, especially in the places where we feel damaged and bruised.
