Title: The 'What' of Sanctification

Passage: Exodus 3

1. What  do we normally think of when we hear the word “holy” / “holiness”/  or “sanctified”? How do you normally think about what it looks like to grow in the Christian life?

2. Has your definition of what it means to be sanctified or holy changed at all after spending time with Exodus three?

3. Moses wasn't looking for God when God showed up to him. Why is that important? What does that teach us about God's character? Is that different from the way most people think religion works?

4. Can you describe a moment where it felt like God drew near to you and made his presence real to you? How did it feel? Was it terrifying? Comforting?

5. Both news and advice can change people. How do they change people differently and which one feels better?

6. The sermon said that sanctification is God taking "Egypt out of us." What are some examples of "Egypt" that Christians still struggle with after becoming believers? What old habits, fears, desires, or sins are hardest for people your age to leave behind?
