Thursday Qs

Title: The Means of Sanctification

Passage: Acts 2

1. If you wanted to get really good at something (basketball, music, gaming, school, etc.), what would you do? Would it happen by accident?

2. Why do you think we often want "extraordinary" spiritual experiences more than ordinary faithfulness? Why is reading Scripture every day less exciting than a big camp experience?

3. Acts 2 says the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching. What does devotion look like compared to occasional interest? What keeps you and people your age from taking God's Word seriously?

4. Which of these “means” of sanctification come easiest for you? Hardest? Why?

5. How have you seen fellowship and community with certain people change you for better or for worse?

6. What would it look like tangibly and practically to take one of these means of sanctification (the lifting of the sails!) and try to grow in it and practice it more this Summer?
